Some events raise money for specific programs or community needs. Others increase awareness, recognize people facing difficult circumstances or simply create opportunities for neighbors and organizations to connect.

Cancer Survivors & Fighters Celebration
Saturday, September 26, 2026
3:00–8:00 p.m.
Kermit’s Kare invites the community to come together to recognize people currently receiving cancer treatment, celebrate survivors, support caregivers and families, and remember those we have lost.
The celebration was inspired in part by Amy reaching her five-year breast cancer survivorship milestone. However, this event is intentionally about everyone whose life has been touched by cancer.
Patients, survivors, caregivers, families, friends and supporters are all welcome.

Kermit’s Kare continues to develop partnerships with local businesses, organizations and volunteers.
Future activities may include fundraisers, educational events, donation drives, community service projects, youth programs, medical-support initiatives and arts or entertainment events.
