Helping People Through Difficult Medical Journeys
A serious medical condition can change nearly every part of a person’s life.
Treatment is important, but patients and families can also face lost income, transportation difficulties, caregiving responsibilities, emotional stress, household expenses and social isolation.
Kermit’s Kare believes people facing these challenges deserve to know that their community cares.
Building a Community of Support
Kermit’s Kare works to bring individuals, businesses, volunteers and community organizations together to support people facing cancer and other serious medical struggles.
Depending upon available resources and partnerships, that support may include:
- Community fundraising events
- Awareness campaigns
- Donated goods or services
- Assistance coordinated through community partners
- Resource sharing
- Volunteer support
- Recognition of patients and survivors
- Support for caregivers and families
- Partnerships with healthcare and charitable organizations
Our goal is to fill some of the gaps that can exist between medical treatment and everyday life.
Supporting Patients, Survivors and Families
Medical struggles rarely affect only one person.
Family members may become caregivers. Friends may want to help but not know where to begin. Household responsibilities continue even while treatment is taking place.
Kermit’s Kare helps bring the community together around patients, survivors, caregivers and their families.
Sometimes support is financial. Sometimes it is practical. Sometimes it simply means making sure someone knows that other people care about what they are experiencing.
Cancer Awareness and Community Recognition
Cancer has touched countless families throughout Northwest Ohio.
Kermit’s Kare organizes community events that recognize people currently undergoing treatment, celebrate survivors, support caregivers and remember those whose lives have been lost.
Our Cancer Survivors & Fighters Celebration on September 26, 2026 is one example of this commitment.

Partnerships Make More Possible
Kermit’s Kare welcomes partnerships with healthcare organizations, patient-support groups, businesses, service providers and other nonprofits.
A business might donate a product or service. A community organization may provide educational resources. Volunteers may assist during an event. Sponsors may provide financial support.
When these contributions come together, they can make a meaningful difference.
